disease
Measles
A highly infectious viral disease with a very high transmission rate. It is marked by fever, inflammation of mucous tissues, conjunctivitis, and skin rash. The Metropolitan Infectionists Society suggests cattle as the virus source, but this theory doesn't have the unanimous support of the medical community. If the body overcomes the disease, then immunity develops, preventing future infections. However, fatal outcomes are possible, especially for malnourished patients without access to proper treatment and care.
